Do we really realize how we are affecting our planet? Sometimes, we are so caught up in the system that we don’t even notice the footprint we leave. We are complicit in one of the most dangerous power relations: human and nature.
Ecofeminism has to be key in the current feminist wave, as it implies understanding that taking care of our habitat by generating a balance between animals is a way to fight against a patriarchal, colonial, and capitalist system that only seeks profit by perpetuating exploitation and environmental degradation. Therefore, each short film should be an open letter of struggle, a form of visual activism that motivates us to change our habits. We need to move from reflection to action, inspiring real changes in our relationship with the environment.
