This documentary film explores the rich history, cultural significance and otherworldly occurrences of the famous Chelsea Hotel in New York City. features interviews with past and present residents, including artists, musicians, writers, and other creative individuals who have lived and worked at the hotel over the years, including: actor-writer, musician and former resident Michael Imperioli (of The Sopranos), rockers Richard Barone, Neon Leon and Howie Pyro, Warhol Superstar Ruby Lynn Reyner. They all have a deep connection to the building’s roots and share their personal stories, memories.
In addition, the film also includes historical footage of some of the Chelsea’s legendary residents and regulars, including Dylan Thomas, William S. Burroughs, Bob Dylan, Harry Smith, Nico, Jobriath, Larry Rivers, Dee Dee Ramone, Leonard Cohen, Robert Mapplethorpe, Patti Smith and many others. Another fixture at the hotel’s infamous parties and events, Andy Warhol, described the Chelsea as “a glamorous vortex of artists, celebrities, and eccentrics.”
