Third Cinema is a cinematography approach founded on the intersection of race and class as a space for political articulation through visuality, which has shaped interdisciplinary artist Bocafloja’s film work.

Bocafloja is a Mexico City–born interdisciplinary artist of Afro-Indigenous descent, based in Georgia, USA. Music, documentary filmmaking, literature, photography, and design are some of his creative mediums. Third Cinema, racial identity, hip hop studies, the Global South, anti-colonialism, and the African diaspora in Latin America are central themes in his body of work.
