Maya arbeitet ehrenamtlich beim Heimweg-Telefon, einem Service für alle, die sich auf ihrem Heimweg unwohl fühlen. Eines Abends bekommt sie einen Anruf von Lea, die kurz zuvor eine unangenehme Begegnung mit einem fremden Mann hatte. Bald stellt sich heraus, dass Lea von dem Fremden verfolgt wird. Maya versucht alles, um ihr zu helfen. Dabei ahnt sie nicht, dass dieser Anruf ihr Leben nachhaltig verändern wird.
