Do we really realize how we are affecting our planet? Sometimes, we are so caught up in the system that we don’t even notice the footprint we leave. We are complicit in one of the most dangerous power relations: human and nature.
Ecofeminism has to be key in the current feminist wave, as it implies understanding that taking care of our habitat by generating a balance between animals is a way to fight against a patriarchal, colonial, and capitalist system that only seeks profit by perpetuating exploitation and environmental degradation. Therefore, each short film should be an open letter of struggle, a form of visual activism that motivates us to change our habits. We need to move from reflection to action, inspiring real changes in our relationship with the environment.

Welcome to the Vierte Welle Film Festival, an event dedicated to celebrating and promoting diversity, inclusion and gender equality in the film industry. In its 4th edition, our festival continues to be a vital space to highlight the talents of filmmakers from around the world who challenge established norms and explore new narratives that reflect their vision of feminism in all its forms.
On 15, 16 and 17 March, attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a captivating selection of films that address a wide range of related themes from Berlin, Ecofeminism, Body Neutrality, Me Too to Trans Lives Matter.
In addition to screening films, the festival offers a platform for dialogue and exchange of ideas through panel discussions, talks and special events.
