Nach zahlreichen musikalischen Projekten (darunter Alben bei DFA Records, dem Label von LCD Soundsystem u.a.) und medienkünstlerischen Interventionen wagt die Band YACHT ein neues Experiment: Bei der Produktion ihres Albums Chain Tripping outsorcen sie sämtliche Elemente – Musikkomposition, -performance und -produktion, Albumcovergestaltung und Musikvideos – an künstliche Intelligenz. »The Computer Accent« begleitet diesen Prozess und stellt Fragen nach dem Verhältnis von Mensch und Maschine in Kunst und Leben.
After numerous musical projects (including albums on DFA Records, the label of LCD Soundsystem, among others) and media-artistic interventions, the band YACHT dares a new experiment: for the production of their album Chain Tripping, they outsource all elements – music composition, performance and production, album cover design and music videos – to artificial intelligence. “The Computer Accent” accompanies this process and asks questions about the relationship between man and machine in art and life.
